Reading a Tom Robbins Book

"Villa Incognito" By Tom Robbins....

fantastic....

In Cognito
Meet me in Cognito, baby,
We'll soon leave our pasts behind us.
The present is always a mystery,
As the future never fails to remind us.

Once we're alone in Cognito,
We'll remove our clothes very fast,
But thought we'll be naked as jaybirds,
At no time will we take off our masks.

Cinderella went incognito,
And it's said that she had a ball.
It's always midnight in Cognitio
By the black clock at the end of the hall.

We're destined to be clandestine,
Incognito is our very last hope.
I'll meet you where the sun don't shine,
With a fake ID and some dope.

So do join me in Cognito,
You know that I'll never tell.
We'll sneak in the back door of Heaven
And stroll unnoticed through Hell

Incognito, Incognito
There, every day's a surprise.
Incognito, Incognito
Where truth tells all the best lies.

Walking like Jonsey from Carnival

But getting a little better every hour I'm walking on it.  Polo at 9pm, top of the parking garage.    After which I am taking a rolling pin to the outside of the left leg, up and down, trying to stretch the IT Band.
Hopefully it will work.

Semi-gravel metric

Just finished a delicious pumpkin beer with Jake La Cruz after completing my second gravel metric, his first.  The metric being 100 kilometer.  Mostly on or around the great western trail with ARi, as always, in the lead followed bu Eric, Alex, Jake and Myself.  100 kilometers on a fixed gear.  First time using drops with dummy breaks as well.  Feeling fine but my AT band on the outside of my left knee is giving me fits and will be stiff as a board in the morning.

Been a while

So, Not that anyone reads this but I have been not updating for a bit.
Nothing going on, working as a mechanic at a bike shop.
Hopefully will be enrolled in the United Bicycle Institute this winter for a few classes.
Can't find my cell phone..
Place is a little messy....
Thinking of redoing the background....
Once a day, from here on out...

Don't know how this slipped by...

First Big Thunderstorm of Spring

The Spring Storm
The sky has given over
its bitterness.
Out of the dark change
all day long
rain falls and falls
as if it would never end.
Still the snow keeps
its hold on the ground.
But water, water
from a thousand runnels!
It collects swiftly,
dappled with black
cuts a way for itself
through green ice in the gutters.
Drop after drop it falls
from the withered grass-stems
of the overhanging embankment.
